Coaches
Hi Comets! I am excited to be leading the South Gwinnett Swim and Dive Team this season. While I’m not a competitive swimmer or diver myself, I bring plenty of energy, team spirit, and love for sports to the pool deck. By day, I teach Business Education here at South Gwinnett—Introduction to Business Technology, Legal Environment to Business, and Financial Literacy. By night (and weekends!), I’m cheering on my favorite teams. I’m a die-hard New York sports fan—if it’s a New York team, you can bet I’m rooting for them! When I’m not in the classroom or with the team, I love catching live music, enjoying time at the beach, and supporting all things Comets. Most of all, I love teaching, I love my students, and I’m proud to help our athletes grow not just in competition, but in confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Let’s make it a season to remember—Go Comets!
Coach McClendon will be joining the staff this year as the dive coach for several teams (including South Gwinnett). Coach McClendon has previously taught diving and looks forward to helping our divers compete in both the county and state levels.
